THEATRE WORK

Kalle Tahkolahti is a professional of the Performing Arts. Based in Järvenpää, Finland, he has worked as director, actor, teacher, lighting and sound designer as well as technician in a variety of environments ranging from small amateur productions to large scale professional theatres.

Enthusiasm born of a childhood hobby has led the way to working in a field that is as much a lifestyle as livelihood. Openness and experience in different groups form a versatile and textured skill set, as well as a drive to create works that offer the public diverse aspects, personal food for thought and realizations about the world we share.

Kalle is best known for his leading roles in Järvenpää Theatre's productions of Amadeus and Evita, as well as directorial efforts The Woman in Black, The Last Five Years and And Then There Were None. At the moment Kalle works foremost as director and actor at Keski-Uudenmaan Teatteri, in addition to directing regional amateur groups.

Kalle played a key role in establishing a regular practice of dramatized readings at Järvenpää Library in association with Järvenpää Theatre.
